What we believe
Committo rests on a few convictions. The main one: change doesn't come from an unbroken streak. It comes from twelve honest weeks, gaps included.
This is our stance — argued, not cited. We keep it apart from the graded claims on purpose: the evidence never gets padded with opinion, and our opinions never have to dress up as research.
Hold many, push few
You can't push everything — and you can't drop everything else either. So a season has a shape: a few commitments you push, on top of the many baselines you quietly hold.
Two, maybe three
A cycle has room for two, maybe three pushes. More than that isn't focus — it's a list. Pick yours, hold the rest, and leave something for the next cycle.
The basics are boring because they work
Sleep, movement, people. Hold those three before optimizing anything exotic — no protocol outperforms a boring baseline you actually keep.
Twelve weeks, not forever
A resolution with no end never has a day where you honestly take stock. Twelve weeks are long enough to notice whether something holds, and short enough that the end is in sight from day one. Then you decide again.
A missed week is data, not a verdict
A missed week tells you something about the plan — the size, the slot, the season. It tells you nothing about who you are.
That's why a missed week in Committo is a gap, not a broken streak that punishes you. At the end, the whole picture counts, not the one week.
Mis-sized, not doomed
If you wouldn't show a pact partner the target, the target is wrong — shrink it until it's honest, then keep it in the open.
An honest verdict
When a cycle ends, what happened is settled: achieved, partial or missed. We don't round anything up, and nothing gets quietly rewritten. A result that can say "Missed" is one you can believe when it says "Achieved."
Go again from where you stand
The next cycle starts from your real numbers — a target you can actually win.
You don't start over from zero. You start from where you stand.
The evidence behind this
We grade what we lean on, and we show the grade. A is settled science; B is real but modest or genuinely contested — we say so rather than quietly leaving it out.
